A POST Office in Poole was the scene of a distraction burglary on Wednesday.

Dorset Police said they received a report at 2.24pm of the burglary at Courts Stores in Sandbanks Road in Poole.

They said: “It was reported that a man had distracted a member of staff and taken them away from the till area.

“When they returned to the till, they found that a quantity of cash had been taken.

“We are not able to confirm the quantity that was taken at this stage.”

Enquiries into the incident are still ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.
