OVER 60 people were stopped and searched after a dispersal order was issued in Pitsea.
The dispersal order, which was issued for Saturday evening, from 6.30pm to midnight, resulted in 62 people being stopped and searched in the area.
Police officers launched Operation Frost in order to prevent anti-social behaviour.
T/Inspector Heffron posted on the Essex Police - Basildon Facebook page: "In total we stopped 60 persons and vehicles, searched 2 persons and vehicles, submitted 6 intelligence report, and issued 1 Cannabis Community Resolution.
"We continue to engage with our policing partners & work towards providing you and your community with an effective police service.
