SHANDY, 48, a Shetland pony from Canvey, is believed to be the oldest surviving horse in Britain. He is the equivalent in human years of 168.
So now at last we know the perfect diet for longevity.
It should soon be popping up on menus everywhere - grass and oats, washed down by a pint of ditchwater.
