A NUMBER of Southend schools have joined forces to ensure mobile phones and MP3 players are banned from school classrooms.
What, though, should teachers do if students flout this ban? Perhaps that old punishment, writing out lines, provides the answer.
Get the offenders to tap out "I must not take my mobile into the classroom" 400 times as a text message to the teacher. They'll never want to set eyes on a mobile phone again in their lives.
