RESIDENTS have been asked to give their opinions on what they would like to see at the former East Beach cafe site.

Southend Council want to know what visitors, residents, and businesses would like to see at the site, and have issued a reminder to take part in a short survey.

The survey, which was launched in December, closes on Sunday,

Residents have been asked to decide whether they would like to see a cafe or restaurant, or a mix of facilities that could include a community hub which would sell food and drink.

Ron Woodley, councillor for investment, urged people to get involved. He said: "This is a great location that offers an exciting opportunity for a new development to serve both residents and visitors.

"There are a range of options that could be considered and we want to know what people want to see there. I encourage people to take part in the short survey which will help us think about how we take the site forwards.”
