A set of emergency roadworks have been completed in time for the rush hour.
Drivers have been experiencing delays in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, due to gas repairs.
Temporary traffic lights were put in place this afternoon in Rickmansworth Road near the junction of Observer Drive, close to Hagden Lane.
Hertfordshire County Council says Cadent were called to repair a gas escape.
At around 5.45pm, the traffic lights had been removed and Cadent were clearing away the scene.
Traffic is coping well.
Meanwhile, Affinity Water has completed its programme in nearby Whippendell Road.
There have been temporary traffic lights between Hagden Lane and Ascot Road since January 6 - but these traffic lights have now been removed.
