Southend High Street
FIVE knives were seized after a man was seen acting suspiciously in Southend High Street.
After some good work by CCTV operators and a foot chase, Southend's Town Centre Team arrested a man.
It followed reports of a man acting suspiciously in the town centre at around 4.15pm on Thursday.
During the arrest, five knives were also seized.
James Green has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, possession of crack cocaine and theft.
Green, 44, of no fixed address, was set to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
