A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a single vehicle crash in Basildon.
Essex Police were called to Broadmayne at around 2am on Sunday morning.
Upon arrival they found a vehicle had launched through the railings "narrowly missing a dog walker".
Police Constable Si Bailey said on Twitter: "Single vehicle RTC Broadmayne #Basildon.
"Driver managed to launch through the railings narrowly missing a dog walker."
Following the crash a man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence, last night.
"He remains in custody."
