AN MP has stated a rail company will increase the capacity of trains following cramped conditions.
c2c Rail and Greater Anglia announced they would be running a reduced, Sunday-style service from Monday to encourage more people to stay home.
However, as a result, the trains that were running were full of passengers, who were key workers still trying to get into and out of London.
James Duddridge, MP for Rochford and Southend East, has since met with c2c managing director Julian Drury.
Mr Duddridge said: "“I am pleased that c2c have put on longer 12 coach trains at peak time that will allow key workers to get to work.
"I would encourage people to work from home if possible, try to travel off peak and maintain social distancing where possible”
