A SECURITY firm in Wickford is offering to guard business' empty properties as social distancing continues to stop coronavirus.

VIP Security has launched a new service to help business through the Covid-19 pandemic.

The firm has a resource of licensed security professionals, and are offering specialist support to guard vacant premises, commercial and bonded warehouses and food stores.

The new service has been launched in response to the government’s lockdown of all non-essential retail outlets and the dramatic growth in home working.

VIP Security are able to offer mobile security patrols for business parks and leisure complexes, as well as key-holding services to business and homeowners, allowing them to react to an alarm activation.

Darren Hyde, managing director of the firm: “We are living in unprecedented times. Government is taking a strong stance, and everyone needs to heed the advice to stay at home. However, it is also essential for business owners to protect their premises and assets, whilst their buildings are vacant.

"We’re launching a new Covid-19 security taskforce, which will work in partnership with businesses and support the emergency services to ensure their assets are protected when most vulnerable.”

"We are all striving to get through this challenging period. Our team can react to alarm activations, saving employees an unnecessary trip to the workplace.

"We’re also adept at protecting organisations from break-ins or looting, and can be a physical presence to deter theft, damage and squatters, plus offer street patrols as a visual and physical presence.”
