A person died after a cardiac arrest as medics, firefighters and an air ambulance rushed to a street.
The emergency services flooded Daiglen Road in South Ockendon last night just before 8.30pm last night.
Paramedics, an air ambulance and a fire engine were in attendance.
Sadly, one person died at the scene.
A spokesperson from the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 8.23pm with reports of a person in cardiac arrest in Daiglen Drive, South Ockendon.
"We sent the Hazardous Area Response Team, two ambulances, a community first responder, an ambulance officer and East Anglian Air Ambulance.
"Sadly despite our best efforts one person died at the scene."
