A man has been charged with three sexual offences against three women.
The 29-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on Thursday 2 April after one of three women reported being assaulted in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff, at about 6.10am.
He has now been charged with one count of assault by penetration and two counts of sexual assault.
The alleged offences happened between Tuesday 31 March and Thursday 2 April in Southend.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday 4 April. He has been remanded in custody to appear at court on Friday 1 May.
The police investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the Adult Sexual Abuse Investigation Team on 101.
