A MAN was headbutted and kicked during a daylight assault, it has been reported.
The attack took place at around 3.15pm, on Wednesday, when a man in his 50s was approached in Rettendon View, in Wickford, by a man in a black coupe-style car.
The driver, described as being a white man and aged in his mid-to-late-20s, got out of the car and began shouting at the victim.
The driver then assaulted the victim by kicking and headbutting him, before driving off.
The attacker is also believed to be around 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build, with short brown hair and a brown moustache.
Officers would now like to speak to a cyclist who may have witnessed the assault, and stopped to speak to the victim shortly afterwards.
We believe that his bicycle had a trailer attached.
