PEOPLE are starting to wake up to the absurdity of what’s going on.
Since we had clear evidence of total incompetence from every political party during the three-and-a-half years after the referendum, when the decision was made to leave the European Union, should we be surprised?
And now we move on effortlessly to another show of total incompetence.
We stopped manufacturing critical healthcare items and outsourced them to China and now we’re in a situation where we need to have increased production of the items to support the National Health Service at the front end and we’ve got no factories to produce them in - particularly PPE for frontline staff.
If the factories were in England we could go to 24-hour working, seven days a week.
The situation we’re in has been predicted time and time again in books, articles and reports.
We have no excuse for being unprepared for a bad virus. We’ve had enormous warning it could, and probably would, come.
Since the supply of food seems to be extremely good, perhaps we should vote for a supermarket chain to run the country.
