HEADTEACHERS have written a beautifully reassuring letter to pupils and parents, pleading: "Don't let home-schooling become a battleground".
In a wonderfully supportive letter to parents, Cheryl Woolf, chief executive of Portico Academy Trust and West Leigh Juniors' head of school, John Lear, say they have heard stories of upset children and parents.
Parents across the country, supported by teachers working remotely, have been home-schooling children since schools closed to most pupils since March 20.
The Sunday Telegraph is reporting primary schools are to re-open in June, but this appears to be unconfirmed.
In their letter, Mrs Woolf and Mr Lear say: "We want you to know from us that if the work isn't done, it won't matter.
"If it isn't as good as it could be, it won't matter. We will pick up the pieces when we are back in school. Have trust in us."
