A DESPERATE drug dealer lobbed £750 worth of heroin and cocaine out of his van window as he tried to flee police.

Adam Johnson was also found to have stored Snapchat videos on his phone where he mocked addicts that he dealt Class A drugs to.

The 32-year-old was spotted in his Ford Transit van by police officers in an unmarked vehicle patrolling Laindon.

They became suspicious of the van and followed it to the Coopersales cul-de-sac and saw a known drug user approach the passenger window and engage with Johnson.

The officers then activated their blue lights and one approached the van, telling Johnson to remain where he was.

However, Johnson sped off in his van and police were forced to chase after him.

During the short pursuit, which happened on December 3 just after noon, officers saw Johnson throw a black golf ball size bag from the window.

He pulled over shortly afterwards, and police had to smash through the driver window and wrestle Johnson to the ground when he refused to unlock the van.

The black bag was recovered and had 33 wraps of cocaine and 21 wraps of heroin inside, with a street value of £750.

Johnson’s phone had a picture of cocaine on a set of scales, with the drugs in the picture estimated to be worth £6,000.

The Snapchat videos were also found, with Johnson saying things such as “he’s cracking out, he needs his fix” and “he’s still waiting” when filming addicts who were buying drugs from him.

Johnson, formerly of Billericay but now of Hertfordshire, admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and one count of possession, and appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday.

Mitigating, Jason Cross said Johnson has been suffering from PTSD from a previous attack where the perpetrator had assaulted him to force him to deal drugs.

Judge Andrew Hurst gave Johnson a two-year prison sentence suspended for two years.

He said: “The objective is for you to come out of prison, improve your mental health and get well.”
