ZOE Ball and her son Woody are to appear in the latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox.

The radio star and her 19-year-old will be among the famous faces on the sofa in the second series of the popular Channel 4 show, which kicks off next Friday, June 5.

Zoe, who lives in Ditchling, posted pictures of herself and Woody sitting on their sofa on her Instagram account to her 480,000 followers on Tuesday.

The BBC Radio 2 host said she was “thrilled” to be taking part in the show alongside Woody, whose father is DJ Norman Cook, and their cat Wilbur, who was curled up on her lap.

The pair will join other celebrities including former football manager Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra, television personality and actress Denise Van Outen and her partner Eddie, and singer Stacey Solomon and her partner, EastEnders star Joe Swash. Former professional boxer Nicola Adams and her partner Ella are also on the list of stars who will offer their sharp and funny critiques of TV shows in the series, as well as Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv.

Other names are still to be confirmed for the show.

In an announcement on his Instagram page, Woody wrote: “I’m super excited that me and my mum are joining this year’s cast of Celebrity Gogglebox.

“I can’t wait to be back on your screens on such an awesome show, joined by the incredible Wilbur (our cat) and of course my lovely mother Zoe Ball.”

Woody, who went to Brighton College and then Bhasvic, previously took part in Channel 4’s reality series The Circle, which saw players compete anonymously on a specially designed social media platform to be the most popular and win a cash prize.

He finished fifth in the show and had viewers chuckling when he unknowingly flirted with presenter Richard Madeley.
