PHOTOS of a man police believe may have died inside a house have been circulated in a bid to identify him.

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was found dead inside a property on 11 Manor Street in Nelson on May 22.

The Ambulance Service had earlier received a report of concern for safety. Fire crews also attended and forced entry to the property with the man’s body found inside.

“We have conducted a number of enquiries but have yet to identify him and are urging anyone who can assist us to come forward.

“We believe this man, pictured at a local store on May 18, could be the man who died.

“If you recognise him, please come forward and speak to us. Any information we receive would be treated in the strictest confidence.”
