JUST one new case of coronavirus has been recorded in Southend, official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 408 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am this morning in Southend, up from 407 the same time on Wednesday. A week before, there were 405 cases.
Meanwhile, no more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Essex County Council area.
Public Health England figures show that 3,296 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am this morning in Essex, in line with the same time on Wednesday. A week before, there were 3,264 cases.
It means cases have increased by less than 0.5 per cent over the last 24 hours, on a par with the rate of increase across the UK.
