TWO men arrested after a man suffered life-threatening injuries have been released on bail.

Essex Police were called out to Victoria Avenue in Southend on June 11 after a man was found near the Blue Boar pub with stab wounds.

The man in his 20s was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition but did not die.

Police cordoned off the road and others surrounding it for the majority of the day after the man was found just after 4am.

Two people, a 21 year-old man and a 16 year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection to the stabbing.

They have since been released on bail until July 5.
