Officers discovered a cannabis farm and seized plants during a raid at a property.

The team found the 40 plants at the property in Betoyne Close, Billericay at about 2.40pm yesterday.

Officers say there have been no arrests following the find at the property.

The team also took to social media to post about the incident and find.

A spokesman for Basildon Policing Team said: “The Billericay and Wickford Officers have been dodging the showers today when patrolling parks and open spaces.

“We have also successfully executed a warrant in Billericay which was gained following information from the community.

“Upon leaving our warrant we did get caught in a short shower but we did manage to get a photo of the lovely rainbow produced.”

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We executed a warrant at an address in Betoyne Close, Billericay, at around 2.40pm yesterday, Sunday 28 June.

“We found around 40 cannabis plants inside the address and these have been seized.

“There were no arrests and our enquiries are ongoing.”
