Emergency services raced to help a casualty who had been left trapped after a crash on a major Essex road.

Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of the accident, which involved one vehicle and took place on the A13 at Aveley, near to the junction with the M25, earlier today.

After arriving at around 11.52am this morning (July 14), firefighters worked with paramedics to help release one casualty who was trapped in the vehicle during the crash.

The casualty was sucessfully released by 12:20pm and was left in the care of the ambulance service.
