A MAN will appear in court after a cyclist suffered a serious head injury in a crash.
Police were called to reports of a cyclist found injured in the road in Broadmayne, Basildon at around 10.30pm on Saturday May 1.
He was taken to hospital for treatment on a serious head injury.
It is believed he had been in a crash with a car between the Timberlog Lane roundabout and Church Road.
The car had left the scene.
Adam Linfield, 35, of Little Lullaway, Basildon, has been summonsed to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court of October 5 to face a charge of failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
