THREE teenagers were arrested after a police chase from Thurrock to Basildon on the A13.
The Essex Roads Policing Unit were going to a separate incident in Thurrock on Monday night with their blue lights flashing.
This caused another car to speed away, which the officers became suspicious of and pursued the vehicle from Thurrock to Vange.
The roads unit said: "Guilty conscience? This vehicle made off after seeing my blue lights going to another job.
"Vehicle pursued into Basildon and stung with the help of Essex Operational Support Group and Dog Section."

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We arrested three people after a car failed to stop for officers in Thurrock on Monday.
"Following a pursuit along the A13, we stopped the vehicle in London Road, Vange, before detaining the driver and two passengers.
"A 19-year-old woman from Basildon, an 18-year-old man from Enfield and a 17-year-old boy from Waltham Cross remain under investigation for theft of a vehicle."
