A TRAPPED person had to be freed from a vehicle by firefighters following a crash.
Crews from Southend and Rochford fire stations were called to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle, in Brays Lane, Ashingdon, shortly after 3am this morning.
Once at the scene, the firefighters worked alongside paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service in a bid to release one casualty trapped in the vehicle.
After nearly an hour, the casualty was eventually released by 4am and left in the case of the ambulance service.
