A MAN was stabbed in the arm during an attack in the early hours of this morning.
Essex Police were called to the junction of Southchurch Road and Chichester Road, in Southend, at 2.10am.
Officers had received reports that a man in his 20s had sustained a serious injury to his arm, before a group of at least four men were seen running from the scene.
One of the men was described as black, around 25-years-old, with short hair.
He is also said to have been wearing black shorts, a white vest top, and white and black trainers.
A second, masked and hooded man was seen apparently wearing a light green or beige tracksuit with white stripes down the arms and legs.
Essex Police are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting crime reference 42/115513/20.
Information can also be given completely anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org.
