A BUSINESS which cleans and restores motorcycle clothing has made it to the national final of a prestigious competition.
Drop Your Gear, which is based in Colchester, is through to the final of the SME National Business Awards UK in the customer service category.
The firm, which is run by Dean Turner-Hennings, restores and recolours motorcycle clothing including boots, gloves and one-piece leathers.
Mr Turner-Hennings, 34, of James Parnell Drive, Colchester, said: "Originally there were over 200 companies in the category and it was open to the public to vote.
"This got whittled down to around 60 to go to the judges on a judging panel for them to decide who goes to the final.
"They picked myself alongside another 16 companies from throughout the UK - so it is a massive privilege."
The winner of the awards are set to be crowned at a special ceremony in December.
