ALL small business units at a plaza have been occupied and residents have been invited for a unique shopping experience.

Sue Quilter, who owns Short and Sweet Children’s boutique at the Kingsway Plaza in Dovercourt, said she feels some people of Harwich still do not know there is an indoor market in town.

The 40-year-old from Mistley said she’s acting as an ambassador for all small business owners in the plaza.

She added: “The Kingsway plaza opened so long ago but only a few units were taken.

“Just before lockdown all the units were occupied and now more than ever we need people to know that it’s not a half filled market.

“We now have a hairdresser, chocolate shop, pet shop, children’s boutique and beauty salon and that’s just a few of the units.

“I think in these hard times us, as small businesses need as much support as possible.

“People don’t realise we are here, even if the plaza is completely full.”

She added the unique variety of shops allows residents to shop locally.

“We’d want the community to know the plaza is full of unique items, you don’t have to travel out of town,” she said.

“There’s a great set of people here trying their best, everyone is trying really hard.”
