A teenager has been stabbed at Wickford train station.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene off Station Avenue at around 9pm last night (August 5) after being called with reports a teenager had been "injured with a knife".
The victim, who is believed to be 17, was then transported by air ambulance crews to hospital, where he was treated for injuries that aren't believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Essex Police have confirmed that they were called to the incident and responded initially, but that the investigation is primarily that of the British Transport Police.

A spokesperson from British Transport Police, said: "British Transport Police were called at 9.02pm yesterday to Wickford station following a report a teenager had been injured with a knife.
"The victim was taken to hospital and was treated for injuries that were neither life-changing or life-threatening and has since been discharged.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing with officers pursuing positive lines of investigation."
