A biker was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a road bollard, after attempting to overtake a car.
Police were called to the crash in Thorpe Bay Gardens, Southend on Sunday August 9 just after 10.15pm after the Grey Honda motorbike crashed into the bollard.
It was reported that the biker was trying to overtake a BMW when the car sped up. The bike then hit the bollard in the middle of the road.
An 18-year old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers would like to speak to the driver of the BMW and anyone who saw the incident or has dash cam footage.
