A POPULAR bar has announced it will close for good due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Reids Bar in Laindon Road, Billericay announced this morning it will not reopen as a result of the pandemic.
The bar has been in the town for 30 years and has previously been known as Quilters and the Ivory Rooms.
In a statement posted on the bar's Facebook page, the owners said: "After careful consideration and deepest regret, we must announce that Reids will not be reopening as previously planned.
"Unfortunately, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is something we cannot overcome going forward with our normal business concept.
"We would like to thank the Billericay community and beyond for all of your custom and support over the last three decades."
