BASILDON has brought out the rainbow colours to celebrate its annual pride event.
The annual Basildon Pride is taking place online this year, due to the social distancing restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Viewers can join in on social media this afternoon from 3pm for a mix of musical acts and entertainment.
On Friday, Basildon Council raised the rainbow flag at its premises in Town Square, with town mayor David Burton-Sampson joining members of the Basildon Pride team to raise the flag.
On Friday night, the Basildon sign on the A127 lit up in the colours of the rainbow to signify the launch of pride weekend.
