Armed police
Pictures show armed police descending into neighbourhoods yesterday afternoon.
The Echo has seen pictures of several police vehicles full of armed officers in Rayleigh, at around 5.30pm.
Armed police were believed to be in the Rayleigh Weir area, next to the A127.

It's not yet known the nature of the incident.
It has been reported residents were not told to leave their homes.
