A MAN was arrested on a plane after "trying to flee the country" when wanted for domestic abuse.
The Essex Operational Support Group tweeted that the man in question was wanted in connection to offences committed in the Thames Valley area of West London.
A spokesman tweeted: "Officers intercepted a male trying to board a plane at Southend Airport yesterday who was trying to leave the country.
"Wanted for domestic related offences of assault x 2, malicious communications and harassment in the ThamesVP area. #Teamwork #Nowheretohide."
It is not known where the man was trying to fly to.
He was taken into custody on the day.
