THREE of Southend United's youth players are self-isolating with Covid-19 symptoms, according to reports.

The three under-18's are reportedly now in isolation but have yet to be tested after a match against Leyton Orient, BBC Essex has stated.

Leyton Orient has seen an outbreak of coronavirus in their senior squad.

The majority of the first team have tested positive in recent days, meaning their game against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup was postponed this week.

Spurs agreed to pay for the testing for the League Two side, revealing the Covid-19 outbreak.

Tottenham Hotspur has been awarded a bye into the fourth round of the competition.

Blues' under-18s won 2-0 against Orient's youth team on September 12.
