YOUNG people and children in Wrexham have been enjoying taking part in a national campaign supporting grassroots football.
Brymbo Lodge YFC, Wrexham's only gold accredited youth football club, has been taking part in the UEFA Grassroots Football Week.
Coach Kieran Howard, 35, said: "The FAW approached us to take part. "We have been given UEFA branded footballs, bibs and equipment and we have been sharing all of our activities on social media. "It's a promotion for UEFA to show how they help grassroots football, but also to promote us as a club. "It works hand-in-hand because we're supporting each other and promoting what we're doing; which is all about the kids taking part for enjoyment, making friends and gaining life skills.
"The kids have really liked getting the UEFA bibs and footballs and learning why we're doing it.
"It's been a very positive activity."
Brymbo Lodge YFC has 15 teams for boys and girls of different age groups.
Mr Howard said the project has also helped to raise awareness among parents in the community in terms of what the club has on offer.
