A MAN was confronted by a paedophile hunter group who claimed he had sent threatening messages to children online.
The group, named "Children Online Battling Real Abuse", live streamed the confrontation on its Facebook page last night at 8pm.
The man, understood to be from the Basildon area, remained impassive throughout the confrontation.
The group put to him that he had sent messages to the children online saying if they did not do what he wanted them to, he would "find them and come to their house".
The group say on the video that the chat logs which the man allegedly sent to children were "vile".
During the video, the hunter group claims the man had spoken to at least four child profiles online, which are understood to be decoy profiles.
At the end of the 50 minute video, police officers arrive at the scene.
Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
