A headteacher has announced live on Facebook that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
Ceri Evans, headteacher of Gable Hall School took to Facebook for the live video this afternoon.
It comes as Year Ten pupils at Ortu Gable Hall School in Corringham will have to self-isolate until Tuesday following a pupil testing positive for the virus.
Mr Evans said: "I have coronavirus, the issue with this is I go everywhere in the school and all parts of the building and site. I am advising children to self isolate at the moment and my thoughts are with the staff and children who have tested positive.
"To all parents look after yourself and children and be very aware of the symptoms. I will be monitoring additional cases as they happen."
