THREE workers at a KFC restaurant have tested positive for Covid-19, the firm has confirmed.
The fried chicken restaurant on High Road, Laindon has been deep cleaned following the tests of the workers.
The firm said that the three members had tested positive for the virus "over the past few weeks" but two have now returned to work.
A KFC spokesperson said: “Over the last few weeks, three team members at our KFC Laindon restaurant tested positive for coronavirus.
"The team members self-isolated at home, in line with guidance, and two have now returned to work.
"A number of other team members were also tested as a precaution and also self-isolated based on government guidelines.
"We’re doing all we can to support our teams, including regular deep cleaning of the restaurant and following all the necessary guidance to maintain a safe, clean environment for both our teams and guests.”
