ONE of Essex’s most “Instagrammable” restaurants is set to open in Southend.

The Echo can exclusively reveal the Pavilion will be opening its Southend branch within a luxury apartment complex.

The confirmation comes as new images of Clifftown Shore, in Western Esplanade – the plush £135m seafront development which is less than a year away from completion – have also been revealed.

The images show panoramic views across the Thames Estuary and spacious terraced balconies, with rooms finished to a high spec.

Works are running to schedule for the development which includes highly-anticipated fine-dining restaurant.

Restaurateur group, Elysium, owns the popular Pavilion, in Colchester, as well as Hudson House and Mimosa, both also in Colchester.

A spokesman for Elysium, said: “We are extremely excited to be bringing the Pavilion experience with its beautiful interiors and unique food concept to Southend later on next year.

“After the success of Pavilion Colchester, we were due to launch Pavilion Chelmsford this year which sadly has now been delayed until next spring.”

Bosses at Beyond the Box Developments, which is leading the 51-apartment development, gushed over its partnership with Elysium Group and said they are very much looking forward to seeing Pavilion’s “high-level dining experience” at Clifftown Shore in what will be a “stunning restaurant”.

The Pavilion, which serves Asian-inspired dishes, features a raw seafood and sushi bar, a robatayaki charcoal grill and wok station.

The menu also features steaks, ribs from the grill and burgers.

The restaurant is known for its elegant decor with floral features, leading it to be dubbed the most Instagrammable eaterie in Essex.

The website states: “Step inside a unique venue that has been restored, preserved, conserved and extended into a venue filled with refined and natural design, feature stone walls, reclaimed woods, living walls and lush indoor greenery.”
