A FESTIVE charity supporter is spreading cheer by covering his home in twinkling Christmas lights.
Peter Edgson, 33, of The Grove, Southend is behind the amazing light display in support of the Children with Cancer charity.
He said: “I started doing the lights as a teenager and the display has just got bigger and bigger every year but this year I’ve done the biggest display.
Colourful - the display
“It been such a rubbish year with the coronavirus pandemic and I just wanted to put smiles on people’s faces.
“So I started putting them up at the beginning of October and usually wouldn’t turn them on until November 25 but I have switched them on early, I’ve had to have new electrics put in just to run the lights on their own fuse.

“I’m raising money for Children with Cancer. I used to have a friend who had a child with cancer years ago and it’s just stuck with me.”
