A woman has suffered life-changing injuries after a serious crash in Southend.
Police were called to Shoebury Road shortly after 6.30pm last night (November 24), following reports that a black Citreon C3 had crashed with several parked cars, and had overturned onto it's side.
Firefighters cut the roof of the car to help release the trapped casualty, and an air ambulance was also sent to the scene.
Thankfully, they were released by 8pm and left in the care of the air ambulance team.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.
It is believed the patient was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "Officers have gathered some CCTV from the area, but if you have CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident, please get in touch.
"You can report it to us via our website, or by calling Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101.
"The incident number to quote is 1140 of 24 November."
