Police officers and a cordon was spotted after reports of aggravated burglary.

The large area was shut off as officers carried out investigations in Plumley's, Pitsea last night at about 8pm.

Witnesses reported that three men broke into a home and attacked a resident who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Lots of worried residents took to Facebook to raise the alarm and concerns.

Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
