A RECYCLING centre has been forced to temporarily shut after machinery failed.
The Rayleigh recycling centre, on Castle Road, has shut this afternoon after machinery at the site "unexpectedly broke down."
Engineers are working to fix the machines, but visitors have been told to stay away.
It's not yet known when the recycling centre will re-open.

A spokesman from Love Essex, said: "Rayleigh Recycling Centre is temporarily shut due to machinery unexpectedly breaking down.
"Engineers are working to resolve the issue.
"Please do not visit until further notice."
