A large emergency service presence is dealing with a "serious" crash near a busy high street.
Witnesses say a vehicle drove the wrong way up Billericay High Street at about 5pm tonight.
They say there were lots of ambulances and a fire crew called to the scene.
Traffic is building fast in the town and around the area.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "It's been reported three vehicles crashed in Laindon Common Road, and there are minor injuries and the drivers have exchanged details.
"One person has been taken to hospital as a precaution."
