A BILLERICAY woman went home with £30,000 after beating the chasers on ITV.
Harriet Quirk took centre stage as she went head to head against some of the nation’s favourite quiz geniuses on The Chase.
In an impressive start, Harriet won £3,000 in her “cashbuilder” round, before choosing to take on three chasers.
After opting to take on Mark “The Beast” Labbett, Anne “The Governess” Hegerty and Paul “The Sinnerman” Sinha, Harriet wowed audiences as she eased her way to victory.
Harriet won with an impressive 34 seconds left on her clock.
She said: “I thought, I’m not going to be greedy, I’d just like to try for a middle offer.
“I’d like to go with something.
“Afterwards I text my daughter and I said, ‘I’ve beaten the Chasers!’ I didn’t tell her what I’d won at first. When I said £30,000 she literally couldn’t believe it.
“She was so proud of me, she said.”
