A LEIGH GP spent his Saturday helping vaccinate patients and carers in care homes from Covid-19.
Dr Jose Garcia Lobera, who is chairman of the Southend Clinical Commissioning Group, says the jab was rolled out in six different care homes across the district yesterday by staff from the Pall Mall surgery in Leigh.
He says it takes the total number of homes in the Southend area to have received the vaccine this week to 11.
He wrote on Twitter: "Great way to fight Covid-19.
