A RESPIRATORY nurse working on the frontline of the Covid crisis is urging people to stay at home.
Lisa Ward has made the plea after claiming Broadway in Leigh was 'packed' with people on Saturday.
Lisa, who is the lead respiratory nurse at Southend Hospital, is also calling on businesses to do what they can to help during the pandemic.
She tweeted: "Please consider whether your company can help fight Covid and help staff at our hospital stay free of it.
"We are working flat out.
"Yesterday was packed in the Broadway - the rules are ‘stay home’."

Lisa's concerns come despite a recognition that the majority of residents in Southend are following the lockdown rules and staying at home.
The Southend Community Safety Partnership has tweeted photos of an empty town centre and deserted streets, adding: "Further patrols from the afternoon's across the borough.
"Happy to see that the vast majority of people we are coming across are following lockdown rules - thank you."
