A Leigh restaurant was targeted by thugs in an attempted burglary.
The team at Cucina, on Broadway West, say those responsible took a base from a metal barrier before trying to force entry into the premises.
The base was believed to have been picked up from Leigh Library Gardens, and the attempted break-in happened around 7.55pm.
Bosses have now issued an appeal for information about the incident, which took place last Monday (January 4), urging anyone who can help to get in touch with Essex Police.
