Pedestrian dies after being hit by lorry in crash at busy roundabout near port
A woman has died after being hit by a lorry in a crash near a busy port.
The vehicle and pedestrian were in the crash at around 6.30am today between the A1014 roundabout and the Ocean Boulevard roundabout, Corringham near to DP World Port.
Police now say the woman died at the scene.
The road was closed between the roundabouts while officers investigated but it has now re-opened.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “If you saw anything, have any dash cam footage, or have any other information please call us on 101 quoting incident 150 of 14 January or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
